JUNE REPORT

June's game was one of those rare events for us golfers with the golf course closed because of    RAIN!!!!! . Nevertheless 30 members enjoyed their lunch back at the Club as normal and a small wake was held to honour our friend Jim, we will miss his cooking.

Remember our next game is our 18th Anniversary game plenty of prizes just like the old days, see you there early

20th May  Sposored by Steve Jarvis Printing

Todays game saw 60 players tee off for our Stableford event, Match Play, Clyde Copley and Jack Walsh competitions.

Considering the number of players we are getting every month, it is great that we are getting them all started in our allotted tee off time of 8-30

The winners of todays event are as follows

A Grade   Tyrone Dargan 22 pts followed by Dave Pollock on 20 pts

B Grade   Craig Pearce   27  pts  to Anthony Wilson on 26 pts

Ladies    Lola Scott  21 pts on a count back to Patsy Fayne  on 21 also

Juniors    Sarah Burgin 16 pts to Ben Maxwell on 14 pts

The handicapper has had some fun with some of these people rest assured

  NEW PLAYERS

David Pollock, Kerry Morrison, Bill Hallett and old friend returned Marissa, we welcome these players to our friendly social group and am sure they will enjoy thereselves.

     VALE

   JIM WALL

It is with great saddness that I report the passing of Jim in this months report, he will be sadly missed within the club and our sympathies go out to his family.

See you all bright and early next month as we must be all teed off by 8-30 directions of the golf club committee

 15th April

April's game was a 2 person Ambrose event which attracted 52 players for the morning, the scoring was a sight to behold.

Winners of the event saw Sarah Burgin lumbered with her brother Sam to come in with 27 3/4 strokes to be followed home by the 3 amigos Terry King, Joe McDowell Snr and Tommy Gray (yes their handicap was adjusted for 3 players), third place went to Greg Shaw and Tyrone Dargan.

New players for the day are Ann Morris, Stuart Howard and Stuart Wright, looks like Ann took the adage up if you cant beat them join them, after years of being woke up at 5 a.m. so I can get the day started at the shed.

Good Golfing and see you next month

18th March

Game sponsored by Gerroa Shores Holiday Park, we thank Tony and his family for their continued support of our group. Today's Stableford saw 38 players tee off in reasonable weather considering the rain on Saturday and again on Monday.

Once again the X players from the Ladies NSW Waratahs Cricket team joined us, it was good to see them enjoy their trip away and our golf game.

Match play started with a few people forgetting to turn up, better luck next year.

The results are included in the new Competition pages

Winners:   Peter Wells for A Grade, Joe McDowell for B Grade, Jan Goddard for the Ladies

 18th February 2007

Todays stableford game Sponsored by Robert Perich of P&V Mechanical Repairs, We thank Robert and Veronica for being one of our Sponsors again for 2007.

63 players teed off by 8-30 on what was a glorious day weather wise, this makes 218 games already played in just 3 months. I will take this time to remind you about making sure you book your golf carts for our monthly competitions, and don't think they will just be there waiting for you. Also please make sure you put your name on the lunch/game list at the Fisho's, so we can make sure there is enough food for the day.

Winners of todays Competition are as follows

A GRADE      Peter Grogan  21 points to Col Burgin's  20 points

B GRADE      Andrew McCullough 24 points to an unlucky Andrew Copley on 23 points (wiped the last hole)

LADIES       Gail Burgin had 22 points to Lola Scott on 21 points another close competition

JUNIORS     Sarah Burgin won this event with a great 28 points, she is one of our junior stars going around  runner up was Ben Maxwell on 19 points this is a tremendous result for Ben also a personal best.

New Players for the month were Andy Reay and Barbara Short, unlucky player for the day went to Anthony Wilson who 's 1st drive landed inside the branches of one of the few trees on the course then got nearest the pin on the second and took another 4 putts to get it in that very small hole (glasses required maybe)

Match play starts next month, draw is now on the board at the Fisho;s please check and try and organize tee off times berween yourselves, I will try to get it put on our web pages if Andrew will let me.

Next game 18th March and will be Sponsored by Gerroa Shores Holiday Park, remember if you miss out on a monthly game on Clyde Copley or Jack Walsh days your out of those competition, SO CONSISTENCY IN PLAYING EACH MONTH KEEPS YOU IN THE TROPHY HUNT.

Anyway see you all next month again for more fun and another wonderfull spit roast lunch done by a great bunch of volunteers, which there would be no club without them. So thank you again Tom,Jen,Ann,Carol, Wazza, Jim, Carol, John, Tony  and our ticket sellers Craig, Helen Ilena and Nicole    Cool
